Basketball Game Preview: Paxton Tigers vs. Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves

Paxton is 1-9 against Maywood/Hayes Center since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Paxton Tigers will challenge the Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves at 1:30 p.m. Paxton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season.

Paxton took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-43 victory over Hitchcock County.

Among those leading the charge was Maddex Mcconnell, who posted 12 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Walker, who earned nine points.

Meanwhile, Maywood/Hayes Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 64-56 to Bertrand.

Paxton's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Maywood/Hayes Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Paxton couldn't quite finish off Maywood/Hayes Center in their previous matchup two weeks ago and fell 53-50. Can Paxton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
