Baseball Recap: Geneva Comes Up Short

Geneva fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Greece Olympia on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 7-6. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Alex Dorrington was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Brandon Santiago, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Geneva's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Greece Olympia, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Geneva has already played their next match, a 20-3 win against Penn Yan Academy on the 30th. As for Greece Olympia, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-2 defeat against Bloomfield on the 30th.
