Meanwhile, Eleva-Strum hadn't done well against Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Cardinals never let the Lancers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The game was the first time the Cardinals have beaten the Lancers on their field since May 12, 2017.

Blair-Taylor pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Eleva-Strum, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Blair-Taylor couldn't quite finish off Eleva-Strum in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
