Baseball Recap: San Lorenzo Valley Takes a Loss

San Lorenzo Valley fell victim to Harbor and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 1-0. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jordan Renteria was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, San Lorenzo Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Larrabee Mitchell, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

San Lorenzo Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Harbor, their record now sits at 14-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Lorenzo Valley will host North Monterey County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Condors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Harbor, they will welcome Aptos at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
