Soccer Game Preview: Marlington vs. Howland

The Marlington Dukes will venture away from home to take on the Howland Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Marlington is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Canton Central Catholic on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders.

Meanwhile, Howland made easy work of Boardman on Monday and carried off a 5-2 victory. Howland might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by three goals or more this season.

Howland's win bumped their record up to 9-4-3. As for Marlington, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9-2.

Marlington might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Howland in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Dukes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
