Football Recap: Foss Comes Up Short

Foss had lost four straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it five. They were dealt a 48-0 defeat at the hands of the Steilacoom Sentinels. The Falcons lost against the Sentinels in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 33-20 score last time.

As for Steilacoom, their win bumped their record up to 5-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Steilacoom found their leader in sophomore Jaleo Johnson, who picked up 150 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 150 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Johnson.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Foss will face off against rival Fife at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. Meanwhile, Steilacoom is set to take on their familiar foe Eatonville at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
