Madeline Sowell posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. As a matter of fact, she produced her best game of the campaign: she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances.

Sowell's strong effort led Hernando over Horn Lake and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
