Basketball Game Preview: Andover Huskies vs. Osseo Orioles

The Andover Huskies will head out to take on the Osseo Orioles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Andover knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 matchups -- so hopefully Osseo likes a good challenge.

Andover will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Maple Grove, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Andover took their contest on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 98-65 win over Maple Grove. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Huskies' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Crimson are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, Osseo lost to Spring Lake Park on the road by a 67-52 margin on Friday.

Andover's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Osseo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Andover came up short against Osseo when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 76-67. Can Andover avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
