Softball Recap: West Carrollton Pirates vs. Troy Trojans
West Carrollton pushed their score all the way to 11 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a tough 22-11 loss at the hands of the Troy Trojans. West Carrollton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Troy's part, they got a massive performance out of Maddie Wright, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Abbey Seger, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5.
West Carrollton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Troy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
West Carrollton will head out on the road to square off against Fairborn at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Troy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Xenia at 5:00 p.m.
