Basketball Recap: Keene's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Keene won the last time they faced Rice and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Keene Chargers enjoyed a cozy 56-40 victory over the Rice Bulldogs. Given the Chargers 's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 554th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1302nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Keene is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Rice, they dropped their record down to 5-16 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Keene will venture away from home to face off against Palmer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Palmer will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Keene surely won't give up without a fight. Rice has already played their next match (against Grandview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
