Football Recap: Collingswood Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Collingswood's offense. They took a blow against the West Deptford Eagles on Thursday, falling 48-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 46-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

John Antrilli threw for 30 yards on five of 12 attempts. Caden Luby was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards. On the ground, Terrance Goffney rushed for 62 yards.

West Deptford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cole Paskiewicz, who picked up 119 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 61 yards and one TD on only six carries. Paskiewicz got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 62 yards. Brady Cobb was another key passer, throwing for 248 yards and three touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, Collingswood fell to 2-1. As for West Deptford, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Collingswood has already played their next contest, a 48-28 loss against Paulsboro on the 20th. As for West Deptford, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-14 victory against Camden Catholic on the 19th.
