Ranburne lost against Ashville back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Ranburne fell just short of Ashville by a score of 4-3. Ranburne's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ranburne saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Autumn Lovvorn, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Ranburne's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Ashville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-9-1.

Coming up, Ranburne will take on Jacksonville in a tournament on Friday. The Golden Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.84 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ashville, they will welcome Sand Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
