Volleyball Recap: Redfield Comes Up Short

Redfield and Britton-Hecla squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Redfield had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Braves. The Pheasants were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Braves earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Despite the loss, Redfield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Katryn Evans had 31 digs.

Leading Britton-Hecla to victory were Ava Teveldal and Airiana Buer. Teveldal had 27 digs and one assist, while Buer had 17 assists and eight digs. That's the most assists Buer has posted since back in October.

Redfield has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 17 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for Britton-Hecla, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.

Redfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Britton-Hecla, they will venture away from home to challenge Groton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
