Football Recap: Wilson Takes a Loss

Wilson lost against Lincoln back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mules took a 33-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Mules have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Andrew Evangelista produced another solid effort rushing for 107 yards and two scores on only nine carries, while also throwing for 243 yards and one touchdown while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt for Lincoln. Evangelista's longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards. Andres Pereda was another key player, picking up 187 receiving yards and one TD.

Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lincoln, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Wilson will welcome Eagle Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mules will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Lincoln, they will head out to square off against Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
