Basketball Game Preview: College Park Falcons vs. Benicia Panthers

The College Park Falcons will face off against the Benicia Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. College Park is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season.

Last Wednesday, College Park came up short against Clayton Valley Charter and fell 48-39. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Steven Barnett, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and five assists. Another player making a difference was Mathys Joseph, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Benicia scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 90-81 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northgate. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Benicia's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for College Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

College Park came up short against Benicia in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 73-64. Thankfully for College Park, Kenneth Brown (who went 9 of 18 on his way to 20 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
