Volleyball Game Preview: East Rutherford Cavaliers vs. Draughn Wildcats

East Rutherford is 0-8 against Draughn since September of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, East Rutherford turned things around against East Burke on Monday. They blew past East Burke 3-0. East Rutherford not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0).

East Rutherford walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-14, 29-27.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Draughn faced off against Hibriten on Monday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-14.

Draughn's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for East Rutherford, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.

East Rutherford couldn't quite get it done against Draughn in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Wildcats' Macy Auton, who had 23 digs and four aces.
