Mount Vernon waltzed into their match on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Atlanta International Eagles. The Mustangs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 21st (when they won 3-0).

Mount Vernon not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Atlanta International between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-17.

Mount Vernon's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Atlanta International, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Vernon will welcome Hillgrove at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Atlanta International, they will face off against Elite Scholars Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
