Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Bulldogs vs. Leflore County Tigers

The Riverside Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Leflore County Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, Riverside was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to J.Z. George.

Meanwhile, Leflore County beat Simmons 69-56 last Friday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Blue Devils are ranked 265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leflore County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Riverside, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Riverside strolled past Leflore County in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 55-40. Will Riverside repeat their success, or does Leflore County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
