Softball Preview: Marshfield Tigers vs. Stevens Point Panthers
The Marshfield Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Stevens Point Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Marshfield will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Marshfield will bounce into Thursday's game after beating D.C. Everest, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tigers skirted past the Evergreens 4-3. Four seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Molly Fox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addi Peskie, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Lavelle Canfield also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Stevens Point is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Marshfield, their record now sits at 12-8.
