Basketball Recap: Urbandale Takes a Loss

Urbandale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 58-44 bruising from the Southeast Polk Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the J-Hawks of the 71-45 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Urbandale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Southeast Polk, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-10.

Urbandale has already played their next game (against Fort Dodge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Southeast Polk will challenge Dowling Catholic at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Dowling Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Southeast Polk likes a good challenge.
