Basketball Recap: Fort Wayne Homeschool Drops Highest Score of Season Against Noble-Whitley Warriors

Fort Wayne HomeSchool extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-6. They lost 84-63 to Noble-Whitley Warriors. On the bright side, the 63- point effort marked the Hawks' highest-scoring game to date.

Despite the loss, Fort Wayne HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Grey Chapman, who shot 69% from the field to rack up 31 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Johnson, who went 6-for-15 en route to 15 points and five assists.

As for Noble-Whitley Warriors, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Noble-Whitley Warriors got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Justus Lazzarino out in front who shot 56% from the field on his way to 22 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Lazzarino's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Josiah Lazzarino was another key player, putting up 16 points along with six assists and five boards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Fort Wayne HomeSchool will head out to challenge Lakeland at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Noble-Whitley Warriors, they will venture away from home to square off against Oak Farm Montessori at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday.
