Football Recap: Hinkley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hinkley extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a blow against the Timnath Cubs, falling 77-0. The Thunder lost against the Cubs in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 55-0 score last time.

As for Timnath, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. That looming 77-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Timnath's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max Sipperly, who rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown. Another big playmaker for the Cubs was Dominic Giron, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Looking ahead, Hinkley will host Aurora Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Timnath, they are taking a road trip to face off against Wellington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cubs will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
