Football Recap: Clayton Valley Charter Piles Up the Points Against Miramonte + How To Watch

Clayton Valley Charter won the last time they faced Miramonte and things went their way on Friday too. The Ugly Eagles took their matchup with ease, bagging a 56-14 victory over the Matadors. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Ugly Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Matadors are ranked 298th).

Jhadis Luckey had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 255 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per carry, and also picking up 47 receiving yards and one TD. His longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Clayton Valley Charter proved: they limited Miramonte to a paltry two yards per carry. While one picked up at least four total tackles, Ryan Clark stood above the rest. He picked up a sack and made four total tackles (2.0 for loss). Clayton Valley Charter didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 15.7.

Although Miramonte took the loss, they still got scores from Andrew Bjornson and Harrison Feusier.

Clayton Valley Charter is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.8 points over those games. As for Miramonte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Clayton Valley Charter is set to take on their familiar foe Campolindo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Luckey and Micah Parker. Meanwhile, Miramonte will challenge rival Las Lomas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
