Soccer Game Preview: Ysleta vs. Clint

The Ysleta Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Clint Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ysleta will be strutting in after a win while Clint will be coming in after a loss.

Ysleta will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Austin on Friday. Ysleta never let Austin onto the board and left with a 6-0 victory. It was an even better day for Arturo Perales as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, while the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Riverside who was credited with the win on Wednesday. Riverside got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Clint's one. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now lost six in a row.

Ysleta is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those five games. As for Clint, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
