Volleyball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Greenville + How To Watch

Hillcrest faced Greenville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Rams fell just short of the Red Raiders by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Red Raiders: they've now lost four in a row.

Hillcrest took Greenville into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-23, 25-20, 23-25, 16-14.

Miko Sawyer paced Hillcrest's offense, picking up 13 kills. Sawyer got some help from Liz Jones and her 36 assists. Alivia Elgin controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Greenville, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.
