Antioch has gone 8-2 against Deer Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. Antioch's hitters haven't had much luck over their past six matches, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Antioch's offense. They came up short against Rancho Cotate on Tuesday, falling 18-0.

Meanwhile, Deer Valley lost 13-5 to American back in March.

Lysette Marcial stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Rosalyn Zermeno, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Deer Valley now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Antioch, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everything went Antioch's way against Deer Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Antioch made off with a 12-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
