Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Issaquah

Issaquah put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Juanita Ravens. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 10-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Abby Cleveland (2026) and Riley Baumann (2026) did most of the damage at the plate: Cleveland (2026) scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Baumann (2026) scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that Baumann (2026) snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Chan (2027), who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Issaquah kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Issaquah's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Juanita, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Issaquah will head out on the road to take on Redmond at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Juanita, they will be playing at home against Skyline at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
