Walton-Verona is a perfect 10-0 against Gallatin County since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bearcats will square off against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Walton-Verona and five for Gallatin County.

It was a proper cat-fight when Walton-Verona took on Beechwood on Friday. The Bearcats were beaten by the Tigers 69-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Bearcats were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Gallatin County had to suffer through a 40-6 loss at the hands of Bracken County.

Gallatin County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Walton-Verona, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Walton-Verona against Gallatin County when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 35-8 win. Will the Bearcats repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
