Basketball Game Preview: La Grange Leopards vs. Navasota Rattlers

The La Grange Leopards will take on the Navasota Rattlers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Tuesday, La Grange took their matchup with ease, bagging an 83-44 victory over Caldwell. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Leopards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Navasota). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Smithville 84-8. The win was nothing new for the Rattlers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Navasota has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for La Grange, their victory bumped their record up to 16-8.

La Grange suffered a grim 63-40 defeat to Navasota in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point La Grange was down 36-16.
