Football Recap: Pallotti Piles Up the Points Against Our Lady of Mount Carmel

While Pallotti put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The Panthers claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over the Cougars. Considering the Panthers have won four matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Pallotti got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Clement Boti out in front who rushed for 102 yards and two TDs on only ten carries. Boti is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 3-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Brady, who gained 85 total yards and three touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pallotti was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 166 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Pallotti has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points on average over those games. As for Our Lady of Mount Carmel, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Looking ahead, Pallotti will square off against Boys Latin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Our Lady of Mount Carmel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
