Evangel Christian is a perfect 10-0 against Wiregrass since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Lightning will face off against the Kings at 4:30 p.m. Evangel Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Evangel Christian made easy work of Southern Christian and carried off a 17-2 victory. The Lightning haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Evangel Christian let Lilli Whitfield and Raylee Evans run wild. Whitfield went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Evans went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Whitfield has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Makayla Cranford, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Evangel Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 14 consecutive matchups.

Ezekiel Academy hit Wiregrass with a ten-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Kings lost 11-1 to the Knights. The Kings have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Wiregrass' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Evangel Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 18-9.

Evangel Christian took their win against Wiregrass when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Lightning repeat their success, or do the Kings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
