Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is North Crowley's 14th in Last 16 Outings

North Crowley won the last time they faced Weatherford and things went their way on Friday too. The North Crowley Panthers put the hurt on the Weatherford Kangaroos with a sharp 56-35 victory. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Kangaroos are ranked 297th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Weatherford's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charli Clark, who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave Clark a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landrie Polk, who earned 12 points and five rebounds.

North Crowley is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season. As for Weatherford, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 19-15.

North Crowley has already played their next contest, a 58-36 loss against Boswell on the 4th. Weatherford has also already played their next game (against Lake Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
