Softball Recap: Coleman Comes Up Short

Coleman lost against Merrill on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Comets fell 13-8 to the Vandals. The Comets' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Klaira Sysak made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Sydney Bovee was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Coleman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Merrill, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Coleman will challenge rival Sacred Heart Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Merrill is set to square off against their familiar foe Montabella at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
