Baseball Recap: Piedmont Hills Pirates vs. Terra Nova Tigers
Piedmont Hills had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Terra Nova Tigers on Saturday, sneaking past 5-3. Five seems to be a good number for the Pirates as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Travis Linane was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Linane was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Alex Tran was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Josh Gomez, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
