Desert Pines played against Legacy on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Cimarron-Memorial, falling 22-1.

Aliyah Kolish made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. Jazmun Thompson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Desert Pines, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Desert Pines suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Pinecrest Academy Cadence in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
