Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Houston Math Science & Tech). Everything went their way against the Fort Bend Willowridge Eagles on Friday as they made off with a 12-6 victory.

Juliusa Vergara was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Carbajal, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Houston Math Science & Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .941. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February of 2025.

Houston Math Science & Tech's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Fort Bend Willowridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
