Football Game Recap: Rowan County vs. Boyd County

If Boyd County were expecting to get some payback for the 6-42 loss against Rowan County the last time they met, then they were left disappointed. Boyd County took a serious blow against Rowan County on Friday, falling 0-41. Boyd County were down by 0-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

The defeat dropped Boyd County's record to 2-5. The victory bumped Rowan County's record up to 5-3.

Boyd County will take on East Carter at home at 7:30 PM next week. Rowan County will look to defend their home turf against Johnson Central at 7:30 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Rowan County and Johnson Central will really light up the scoreboard.
