Soccer Recap: Safford Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Safford won the last time they faced Empire and things went their way on Monday too. The Safford Bulldogs were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over the Empire Ravens. Luz Mendoza was a massive factor in the win as she booted in five goals all by herself.

Safford pushed their record up to 7-4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those five contests. As for Empire, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11-1.
