Basketball Game Recap: Sullivan West Bulldogs vs. Walton Warriors

Sullivan West was the 52-35 winner over Walton when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Sullivan West Bulldogs might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 43-23 to the Walton Warriors, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bulldogs were down 35-13 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Walton found their leader in sophomore Grace Walley, who went 10 of 17 en route to 20 points along with eight boards and seven steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Walley has scored at least a third of Walton's points. Another player making a difference was Alivia Conklin, who posted nine points and three blocks.

This is the second loss in a row for Sullivan West and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Walton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

Sullivan West will host Livingston Manor at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Walton, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bainbridge-Guilford at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
