Baseball Recap: Batavia Triumphs

Batavia won against Lake Park on Tuesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Bulldogs beat the Lancers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-5. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 10, 2024, but that streak is no more.

The win got Batavia back to even at 8-8-1. As for Lake Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Batavia will challenge rival St. Charles North at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lake Park is set to square off against their familiar foe Geneva at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lancers 4.1, the Vikings 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
