Austin had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Vista Ridge Rangers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win back in August.

Vista Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Danica Puepke, who had 17 digs and two aces. Allyson Krienke also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Austin's victory bumped their record up to 37-6. As for Vista Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 25-21.

Looking ahead, Austin will square off against Harlan at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Maroons surely won't give up without a fight. Vista Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
