Donovan Catholic put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds. That's more bragging rights for the Griffins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gylian Hixenbaugh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Donovan Catholic got a massive performance out of Olivia Kurth, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave Kurth a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaelynn Nunez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Donovan Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in ten consecutive matches.

Donovan Catholic pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Kellenberg Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Donovan Catholic will square off against Wall Township at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kellenberg Memorial, they will host Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
