Basketball Game Preview: Tivy Antlers vs. Boerne Greyhounds

The Tivy Antlers will take on the Boerne Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tivy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Tuesday, Tivy earned a 64-53 victory over Boerne-Champion. Given the Antlers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Chargers are ranked 369th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Boerne, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past New Braunfels 51-31 on Tuesday. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 20 points or more this season.

Tivy pushed their record up to 19-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Boerne, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season.

Tivy came up short against Boerne in their previous meeting back in January, falling 46-38. Can Tivy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
