Soccer Recap: Choctaw Comes Up Short

Choctaw lost against Norman back in April of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Tigers, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Choctaw can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Norman are ranked eighth).

This is the second loss in a row for Choctaw and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Norman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Choctaw will be playing in front of their home fans against Yukon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Norman, they will head out on the road to challenge Norman North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Norman's defense better be ready for this one: Norman North have averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season.
