Softball Recap: Milton Panthers vs. Niceville Eagles
Milton lost against Niceville back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Milton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Vanderburg, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Milton now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Niceville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
Looking ahead, Milton will challenge Crestview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.75 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Niceville, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-1 defeat against South Warren on the 9th.
