Mason strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Western Panthers a 15-0 shutout. With that victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Colton McCaleb made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Wyatt Ball was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Maddox Armour was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Mason kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Mason pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Western, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Mason will head out to challenge Portland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Western, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Marshall at 4:00 p.m.
