Softball Recap: Fletcher Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Fletcher was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Atlantic Coast Stingrays. The defeat continues a trend for the Senators in their meetings with the Stingrays: they've now lost five in a row.

Fletcher saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tiffany Semack, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Fletcher's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Atlantic Coast, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Looking ahead, Fletcher will head out on the road to challenge Middleburg at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Atlantic Coast, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 6:00 p.m. Atlantic Coast's pitchers better be ready for this one: Paxon School For Advanced Studies has averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
