Baseball Recap: Lebanon Finds Home Field Redemption Against Talawanda

There's no place like home for Lebanon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let the Talawanda Brave get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Saturday. Considering the Warriors have won six games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Cameron Healy looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Peyton Livingston was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Beavon, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Lebanon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in 11 consecutive contests.

Lebanon pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Talawanda, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.

When Lebanon and Talawanda next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Warriors will challenge Tippecanoe and their 17-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Talawanda will try to stop Harrison's seven-game winning streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
