Baseball Recap: Hermon Comes Up Short

Hermon fell victim to Ellsworth and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. The Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in June of 2024.

Hermon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tommy Meserve, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Hermon and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Ellsworth, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hermon will face off against rival Mount Desert Island at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Ellsworth is set to take on their familiar foe John Bapst Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
