Basketball Recap: Litchfield Takes a Loss

Litchfield lost against Carlinville back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Litchfield Purple Panthers took a blow against the Carlinville Cavaliers, falling 65-29. The Purple Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-15.

Litchfield has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Carlinville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Litchfield will square off against Father McGivney Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carlinville, they will face off against Lincolnwood at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
